Partner Event for EU Green Week 2022
We are One Planet, One Health. In the 21st century and taking into account the many challenges we face – climate change, ecocide, pollution, threats to human health – we can no longer afford narrow points of view that only focus on the short term and that only see part of the picture.
The Green Deal, presented by the European Commission in 2019, sets the path for a more integrative approach to EU policies.
This workshop will explore how the Green Deal contributes to this objective and how several pieces of EU legislation, all interconnected, are implementing the Green Deal holistic approach. Experts will exchange ideas on how to reinforce these legislations, and actively interact with participants through several channels in three inclusive roundtables.
The workshop is conceived with a multidisciplinary approach and will include presentations and visual materials. Pioneer women will be honored, by highlighting the work of a female naturalist who embraced the holistic approach to nature and was well ahead of her time.
