Energy Labelling and Ecodesign: the secret weapons for the Fit for 55 package? – 11 May – hybrid meeting
Energy Labelling and Ecodesign: the secret weapons for the Fit for 55 package?
11 May, 16:00 – 17:20, European Parliament & Online
The Fit for 55 package is largely about energy production and consumption and a great chunk of this consumption is related to Buildings. Heating is the main market for gas in Europe and cooling is a fast growing energy guzzling need across EU, due to increased summer temperatures.
Decarbonising heating and cooling, even before REpowerEU, was an absolute priority within the Ff55 package.
What role can play the parallel and barely-spoken-of revision of the Energy labelling for space and water heaters technology and its related ecodesign regulation in the context of FF55?
Learn about the ongoing evolutions of the energy label for heating technologies and how this can play a positive role in synergy with the Effort Sharing Regulation, that sets the ambition in the heating sector, the Renewable Energy Directive that aims at increasing renewables in this sector and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
