INTERNATIONAL CONSULATION for GLOBAL MAJOR GROUPS and STAKEHOLDERS from the 9 MAJOR GROUPS from the six UNEP’s regions
The 7th UN Environment Assembly is coming up soon in December 2025 – the world’s highest decision-making body on environment matters.
UNEA-7 will be presided over by His Excellency Abdullah Bin Ali Al-Amri, President of the Environment Authority of Oman, under the overall theme “Advancing sustainable solutions for a resilient planet”. The session is expected to adopt a ministerial declaration, the UNEP medium-term strategy for the period 2026–2029 and the UNEP programme of work and budget for the period 2026–2027, as well as resolutions and decisions to chart a path towards a resilient planet.
As part of the preparatory process leading up to UNEA-7, the Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Consultations will be held on 22-23 October 2025.
