Reality check: The case for a targeted use of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)

While the effects of climate crisis are increasingly evident, it is necessary to use all tools available to reach climate neutrality by mid-century.  Carbon capture and storage is a hotly debated possibility, but its deployment and achievements in the last decades tell a story of overpromising and under-delivering.
