The EEB’s priorities for the European Union for the 2022 – 2023 Trio Presidency of France, the Czech Republic and Sweden, addressed to their Governments in anticipation of their forthcoming presidencies of the European Union, as well as the Commission. In those 18 crucial months, the Trio Presidency must prove and improve the EU’s commitment to tackling the crises of climate, biodiversity and pollution and to help make the European Green Deal the transformative agenda Europe needs.
The COVID-19 crisis showed the importance of investing in resilient ecosystems, social systems, the economy and our governance structures to heal humanity’s existence within nature.
After consulting with our 170+ members, wider civil society partnerships and stakeholders, we have developed a series of specific asks to guide the upcoming Trio Presidency to be ambitious and committed to make a lasting and fundamental difference.
