NGOs contribution to SEAC Opinion on baby diapers restriction

The European Environmental Bureau, Health and Environmental Alliance (HEAL) and ClientEarth comment on the following issues:

• the misrepresentation of RAC’s opinion regarding the appropriateness of the restriction;
• the bias towards industry claims;
• SEAC’s mandate under REACH, which requires to conclude on socio-economic impacts;
• SEAC’s failure to consider the benefit of restricting hazardous chemicals in baby nappies.
