Sara works on issues related to water pollution and covers the ongoing revision of the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive and the update of priority substances for surface and groundwater.
Prior to the EEB, she worked in various research and development projects in the field of innovative wastewater treatment at Lund University, AnoxKaldnes and Veolia.
She holds a PhD in Water Science & Technology from the University of Girona, a M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from Lund University and has completed a program of International Journalism at Thomas More Hogeschool, Belgium.
Sara is originally from Sweden and speaks Swedish, English, Spanish and French.
