Mathieu focuses on EU policy on the intersection of climate and agriculture. Based in Brussels, he engages with policy makers, politicians, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders at the EU and Member State level. He leads in the formulation of EEB policy and strategy on agriculture and climate, coordinates the policy work in a European research project on carbon farming, and is a member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on Carbon Removals. Previously, Mathieu worked on land-based climate change mitigation at the Stockholm Environment Institute. Mathieu speaks Dutch, French, English, Spanish, and Norwegian.
