Athénaïs is Policy Assistant for Water at the EEB and will support the working groups on water and biodiversity.
Athénaïs holds a B.Sc. in Biology, Technologies and Health and a M.Sc. in Neurosciences from the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1. She is currently enrolled in a new M.Sc. in Law and Environment at the University of Rennes 1.
Before working at the EEB, Athénaïs worked in the water department of the German NGO GRÜNE LIGA, especially on rivers and water privatization. She is also a member of the Secretariat of the European Water Movement and part of the core team of the People’s Water Forum, both focusing on the Human Right to Water and Sanitation in all its dimensions (gender, extractivism, democracy, etc.) in Europe and worldwide.
Lately, she has been contributing to a social enterprise called Onewater that works on science communication around water.
Athénaïs is French and speaks French, Spanish, English, and German and professionally translates in between those 4 languages.
