CSOs’ assessment of final National Recovery and Resilience Plans – 16 June – Online
The European Commission is currently assessing the National Recovery and Resilience Plans (NRRPs) submitted by the Member States to finally approve them for receiving funds under the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). The European Parliament will have a scrutiny role in the RRF Working Group of the Budgetary and Econ Committees. The next few weeks will be crucial for Europe to make the right decisions for investments and reforms to drive a climate and environmentally sustainable and socially just economic recovery.
As part of a project funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMU), the European Environmental Bureau and the Clean Air Action Group have been monitoring the drafting of the NRRPs in eight Central and Eastern Europe Member States with the support of national environmental civil society organisations (for their names see below) to ensure effective public participation and the green dimension.
During the webinar we will present our assessments on the eight final NRRPs and discuss them with the EU institutions with a view to contribute to the current debate and the way forwards.
