ECHA is working on a report on the risks of PVC and its additives which should be the basis for a potential restriction of this plastic and/or its additives. In this framework, we replied in January to a call for evidence, jointly with ClientEarth and Health Care Without Harm Europe. The submission notably provides evidence on the use and release of hazardous chemicals during the manufacture of PVC, on the hazardousness of PVC polymer and on the emission of hazardous substances during manufacture and blending of PVC articles.
