Open letter to European Commission on hydropower in deployment of renewables
This joint letter, signed by the EEB and 99 other organisations, is a response to the European Commission’s answer to a previous open letter earlier this year. This joint action response to the Commission’s letter was coordinated after several NGOs noticed that their letter contained a series of inaccuracies. This open letter reply can be seen as a reaction to some of the points raised in the letter on the hydropower potential in Europe and its environmental impacts.
