The EEB together with 36 environmental NGOs share this open letter in the context of the empowering consumers for the green transition proposal, pointing out its shortcomings. The proposal has the potential to place stricter rules to prevent greenwashing and to provide people with better information about the products they buy – but more is needed. We urge the Parliament and the Council to address the shortcomings in the coming months.
