May 1st 2021 marks the first anniversary of the starting of illegal mining operations at the Polish Turów coal mine, which pushes up to the Czech and German borders and depletes water supplies and damaging nearby houses, against EU laws.
The EEB, Europe Beyond Coal and partner NGOs call on the European Commission to hold the Polish authorities accountable for the breaches in the implementation of EU directives, and stop illegal mining in Turów.
