Our report on what decision makers should do to make space for nature. More effort is needed at both EU and national levels to effectively protect nature, both for its own sake and for the essential role it plays in supporting well-being and prosperity of our societies. The political commitments made by the EU and its Member States to halt biodiversity loss and to achieve recovery of species, habitats and ecosystems by 2020 are otherwise unattainable.
