Letter to the Commission on failure to ensure public participation in the IEP-R
The IEP-R Proposal is currently under co-decision. The Industry Emissions Portal should offer timely access to more meaningful information serving compliance promotion, benchmarking of performance and improved information exchange. The process within the Council has been opaque despite an explicit obligation to allow for public participation in decision-making and legislative process. In this letter, the EEB asks that the Council Presidency or the European Commission exchange with civil society on the substance of the amendments being discussed.
