Joint open letter – Input on the proposed Regulation on Carbon Removal Certification

The current Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF) proposal, including carbon farming, will encourage greenwashing, fail to deliver real climate action and could harm local communities. 

In light of this, the 27 signatories of this joint open letter urge the Members of the Council of the European Union and the Members of the European Parliament to ensure that the support for land-based activities works for climate, people, and nature.
