As Europe debates how to respond to the corona crisis, one thing is certain: a return to ‘business as usual is no longer an option. In an increasingly uncertain world, we need closer cooperation to meet the challenges we face, across borders, and between business and citizens.
This report has been developed to contribute to the EU’s efforts to transform European industry for a more resilient future. It includes 82 policy recommendations set out in five chapters covering the overarching areas: governance, financing and investment, energy sources, circular economy and the value chain, and industrial transformation.
This document is a joint position paper supported by the European Environmental Bureau, Carbon Market Watch, ECOS, Bellona, Bond Beter Leefmilieu, Sandbag, Seas at Risk and Sciaena.
