The world is fragile, but a better future is possible. As we pull through the Covid-19 crisis, we need a vision for a stronger and more resilient society.
In this open letter written together with several civil society groups, we ask the European Parliament and member states to ensure EU recovery funds will put people and the planet first. We also express our concerns regaring the lack of involvement of civil society organisations in the design and adoption of the European regulatory framework for the National Recovery and Resilience Plans (NRRPs).
It is crucial that in this very critical period, where many people in Europe are suffering the consequences of the pandemic, budget resources are adopted, available and tailored to the needs reported on the ground.
