EU Ecolabel for Retail Financial Products – NGO Comments

The Commission has presented an updated proposal of the EU Ecolabel for Retail Financial Products. Ahead of its discussion at the EUEB, NGOs, including the European Environmental Bureau, share a preliminary assessment of the draft and raise strong concerns that the approach taken provides a real risk for greenwashing financial products, misleading consumers and harming the reputation of the EU Ecolabel scheme beyond finance.
