EU 2030 climate target – NGO views on European Commission’s proposal

During her State of the Union speech, European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen proposed to raise the EU’s 2030 emissions reduction target to 55%. While welcoming the Commission’s ambition on climate action, the EEB and other NGOs raised concerns that the target is not enough to address the ongoing climate crisis.
