Following the recent revelations of widespread contamination of EU citizens across Europe with toxic ‘forever’ chemicals (PFAS), the EEB has sent a letter inviting President Von der Leyen to get her blood tested on PFAS. This test would enable the President to understand her levels of contamination, and that of the citizens she serves, in the context of this Commission’s ambition for zero pollution and a toxic-free environment.
A similar invitation has been sent to ten other high-level politicians.
