In this document, the EEB provides comments to the European Commission’s consultation on the inception impact assessment of proposed legal instruments setting binding EU nature restoration targets.
In the contribution, we find that a legislative approach is needed since the previous voluntary target to restore ecosystems has not been met. Other EU initiatives should also support nature restoration across the EU in addition to the action under the new legal instrument. Read the full contribution for more details.
