The EU’s plans for a circular economy require a strong agenda for sustainable finance. In this paper, ECOS, the EEB and Zero Waste Europe outline a vision for future financing of activities to support the transition to a circular economy, where the use of natural resources is reduced within the limits of the planet and waste is avoided.
This document is intended as a first contribution to the upcoming work of the Sustainable Finance Platform on the EU Taxonomy for the Circular Economy.
