Civil Society Organisations’ Statement against the Energy Charter Treaty

The Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) constitutes an obstacle to the clean energy transition and must be ended. The EEB and over 400 partner organisations call on political leaders across Europe to prioritise climate policies, stick to their climate commitments, and withdraw from the Treaty by COP26 at the latest.
