A new strategy for residual waste – NGO statement

In this joint paper, the EEB joins a growing number of NGOs in calling for a new strategy to reduce the amount of mixed waste ending up in dumpsites and incinerators.

The European Commission should champion and prioritise material recovery and biological treatment over energy recovery, in line with the goals of its circular economy strategy and European Green Deal.
