As Europe faces ever escalating climate shocks, the costs are rising and the fragility of our current food system is further exposed. Farmers bear the brunt of these impacts, yet the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) has failed to aid them in faces these crisis, provide a fair standard of living, or address environmental degradation.
This joint position paper, by the EEB, BirdLife Europe, WWF European Policy Office, Greenpeace European Unit, argues that the current CAP lacks legitimacy and should be replaced with a Common Agricultural, Food, and Land Stewardship Policy.
