Large energy consumers, renewable energy producers, energy flexibility, storage, and grid technology providers, supply chain, and civil society organisations, wrote this letter to the Deputy Prime Minister of Sweeden to express grave concern with the delays and uncertainty regarding the final adoption of the Renewable Energy Directive.
Every day without a final Renewable Energy Directive slows the deployment of renewables projects badly needed to deliver globally competitive and home-grown energy to European businesses and families.
We, therefore, urge the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union to ensure the final adoption of the Renewable Energy Directive under their mandate.
