Letter to agriculture ministers of the European Union
In the context of the ongoing negotiations on the Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste (PPWR), the European Environmental Bureau sent this letter to agricultural ministers with the request to support ambitious waste prevention and reuse measures to tackle the uncontrolled growth of packaging waste, notably in the food and beverage sectors. We share our recommendations which are in line with all available independent evidence on the issues food safety, hygiene, chemicals and food waste and with the proposal from the European Commission.
