We’re writing to all MEPs in the environment committee asking them to support the increasing the current target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 65% by 2030. According to scientists, a 65% emissions reduction would help countries keep the average global temperature rise below 1.5C.
The letter was sent ahead of the environment committee’s vote on MEP Jytte Guteland’s report about the proposed European Climate Law, which is taking place on 10 September in the European Parliament.
