Letter to European Commission on the need to design durable smartphones
Given the growing impact of smartphones on the planet, the EEB is asking the European Commission to regulate smartphones under the Ecodesign Directive. This would ensure the introduction of requirements to manufacture units that last longer and are easier to repair and recycle.
