In this letter, 20 networks and organisations call on the leaders of the EU to establish effective environmental protection in the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. The letter highlights the results of a new study which shows how several recent high-profile cases of business-induced environmental degradation would not fall within the CSDDD’s scope in the versions of the law proposed by the European Commission, Council of the European Union, and European Parliament.
