Effective implementation: Transparency in the EU infringement process
This publication, outlines the current failure to implement EU environmental legislation (costing the EU economy around EUR 55 billion each year) and how by insisting on full transparency of the law enforcement process the European Parliament can improve:
- the efficiency of the enforcement process;
- enable effective law-making;
- protect the rule of law;
- ensure public accountability;
- and build public trust.
