EEB demands for the European Commission’s recommendations for Member States’ draft NECPs
National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) have largely been drafted without the involvement of the public. Inadequate or ignored consultations should be redone. There is still time for meaningful public participation before the final plans are submitted in June 2024. This paper sets out the EEBs demands for the Commission’s recommendations for Member States based on analysis of their NECP drafting process.
