The event will take place on the 12th of October in Brussels and it is organized by the project “ClimateFair Monitor: Towards climate-neutral buildings and road transport”– part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN).

Conference will bring together policymakers, civil society organisations, researchers, and practitioners from across Europe to explore the economic case for climate action, the social realities of the transition, and the policy choices that will shape Europe’s path towards climate neutrality.

Drawing on two years of monitoring in six Central and Eastern European countries, the conference will combine evidence from the ClimateFair Monitor project with a forward-looking discussion on the future of carbon pricing, social climate policy, and complementary measures that can make the transition both fair and effective.
