On 8-9 April, the Climate and Energy Working Group will bring together EEB members for a series of hybrid advocacy discussions and capacity-building workshops.  

On the first day, we will overview of the EU’s current climate and energy agenda, covering the simplification and competitiveness packages, upcoming governance reforms, and the Industrial Accelerator Act. Discussions will address practical challenges for renewable deployment and advocacy planning on EU nuclear policy. Day 2 will involve a focused ETS2 expert session, looking at MSR negotiations and the upcoming ETS2 revision. We will close by examining how to protect Europe’s building decarbonisation agenda amid rising political pressure.
