We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person, eager to learn and contribute to the EEB\u2019s work. The position will be a 6-month to up to one-year paid internship contract (convention d\u2019immersion professionnelle) based in the EEB office in Brussels with the intention of extending a contract to a permanent one.\r\n\r\n<strong>Events Assistant will support Events Coordinator with their current duties:<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Searching and visiting new potential venues. Negotiating and collecting offers for events.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Managing and overseeing events on the day of the event, including setting up registration desk, welcoming delegates, liaising with caterer through the day, coordinating with technician audio needs and presentations, overseeing event happenings and acting quickly to resolve problems, etc.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Setting up the meeting room and prepare materials for working group meetings and events: badges, booklets, agendas, list of participants, etc.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Setting up and oversee webinars and online participation during hybrid events.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Keeping the events related online pages up to date.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Managing database.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Promoting and preparing visual materials for events.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Implementing the EEB\u2019s environmental and sustainability policy.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>Qualities and experiences required for the post:<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Fluent in English (written and oral).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of French will be an asset.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>University degree or studies in event management, business administration, management or any other relevant studies an asset.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to work both autonomously and in a team.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to communicate in a multicultural environment.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Capability to prioritise and work with several projects at the same time.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to take own initiatives in different situations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong analytical and organisational skills.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Having a strong people-oriented approach.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Prepared and able to work in a dynamic working environment.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Interest in working in an environmental organisation.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Subscribes to the EEB\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/eeb.org\/it\/homepage\/about\/\">values<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>The EEB offers:<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>A 6-month up to one-year contract &#8211; \u201cconvention d\u2019immersion professionnelle\u201d &#8211; paid internship around 1.150\u20ac net\/month.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>An opportunity to learn more about the functioning of a non-governmental organization and EU environmental policies.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>A stimulating, international work environment.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>An organisation promoting a healthy life-work balance.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>An opportunity to work for a worthy cause.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>How to apply:<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe candidate should submit via email, in a single document, a CV and answers to all three following questions (not more than 200 words per question):\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>How would your education and experience contribute to the smooth preparation of events in a new post-covid hybrid era?<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Why do you wish to work for an international NGO?<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Do you think being an independent worker or a team player is more important as an events assistant?
