This event is part of the Circular Talks of the Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform and builds on a report prepared by Circle Economy on behalf of FTAO and the EEB which will be published online during the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Circular economy has become one of the core components of the necessary transition to a more sustainable society. In its Communication on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/environment\/circular-economy\/pdf\/new_circular_economy_action_plan.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Circular Economy Action Plan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the European Commission has emphasized the importance of circular economy in curbing the consumption of scarce materials, production of waste and the creation of green gas emissions.
