NENUPHAR Annual Networking Event – 28 April 2026 – Brussels

The NENUPHAR Annual Networking Event 2026 will take place on 28 April 2026 (19:00–22:00 CET) at Au Bassin.

Registrations are mandatory by 14 April EoD here.

The NENUPHAR project aims at developing governance and technical solutions to address the current nutrients crisis and its impacts on the environment. With a consortium of 21 partners across 10 countries, three demonstration sites (the Ebro, Lielupe and, Danube river basins) and two replication sites (Bornholm Island in Denmark, and Cyprus), the project tackles nutrient recycling in the main three European waste streams: dairy wastewater, pig manure and sewage sludge.

Organised in parallel to the ESNI Conference 2026 (28 and 29 April), Circular Solutions & Belgian Brews will bring together stakeholders working on nutrient recycling, circular economy, and environmental governance in a relaxed, fun and engaging setting: one of Brussels’ most popular bars in the buzzing St Catherine district.

The event will combine project visibility, knowledge exchange, and networking opportunities, fostering connections among EU-funded projects, policymakers, researchers, NGOs, and practitioners. A walking dinner and drinks will be provided.
The evening will follow a dynamic and participatory format, combining informal networking with interactive elements:
Project exhibition space: Posters and short video screenings running throughout the evening
Participants are invited to bring a project poster. You can book a spot in the registration form below.
Interactive Pub Quiz: A light and engaging activity to stimulate interaction among participants and discover more on projects and partners in a fun way
The Pub Quiz is organised in 5 blocks: science/nature, circular economy/nutrient recycling, projects, music, and local culture and history. Each block will consist of 5 questions with 4 options each. We will form teams of around 6 people, and there will be a small prize for the lucky winner.
Open networking session: Dedicated time for deeper exchanges and follow-up conversations with food and drinks.
