In cooperation with the\u00a0European Environmental Bureau<\/b>\u00a0(EEB), we are pleased invite you to the High-Level Conference on \u2018RebuildUkraine\u2019 and Civil Dialogue, which will be held\u00a0on the 29th of November 2022<\/strong>\u00a0in Brussels, Belgium, and online,\u00a0from 09:30 to 13:15 (CET)<\/strong>. Lunch will be served after the conference.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The first aim of the conference<\/strong>\u00a0is to discuss Ukrainian and EU civil society\u2019s role in the \u2018RebuildUkraine\u2019 platform through an exchange between, on the one hand, EU and Ukrainian civil society organisations, and on the other, EU institutions.
\nThis first half of the conference will involve a\u00a0high-level panel debate<\/strong>, followed by\u00a0open discussions<\/strong>.\u00a0EU and Ukrainian civil society organisations and representatives of the EU institutions will discuss Ukrainian and EU civil society\u2019s role in the \u2018RebuildUkraine\u2019 reconstruction platform.\u00a0The discussion will build on CSE and the EEB\u2019s\u00a0joint statement urging the European Commission to guarantee a meaningful role for civil society in \u2018RebuildUkraine\u2019<\/a>.<\/a><\/div>\n

The second aim of the conference<\/strong>\u00a0is to develop a roadmap to strengthen civil dialogue at the EU level. The discussion will build on\u00a0CSE\u2019s previous work on civil dialogue<\/a>, including\u00a0a letter sent to European Parliament President Roberta Metsola in January 2022<\/a>\u00a0as well as\u00a0CSE and the European Civic Forum\u2019s\u00a0recent call for an EU Civil Society Strategy in the Commission\u2019s 2023 work programme<\/a>.
\nThis second half dedicated to civil dialogue will involve\u00a0two workshops<\/strong>, each of which will be chaired and moderated by a representative of various EU institutions. The first workshop will be dedicated to fostering and structuring participation in civil dialogue, while the second one will focus on supporting civil society organisations\u2019 engagement in the design and monitoring of EU funds at the EU level.<\/div>\n
