Achieving<\/span> the European Union<\/span>\u2019s (EU) strategic <\/span>energy policy <\/span>goals<\/span> \u2013<\/span> climate neutrality, energy affordability and security, and increased competitiveness <\/span>\u2013<\/span> depend<\/span>s<\/span> on a <\/span>substantial<\/span> and <\/span>rapid<\/span> rollout <\/span>of renewable energy<\/span>. <\/span>To <\/span>achieve <\/span>this<\/span>, <\/span><\/span>permitting<\/span> procedures for <\/span>renewables<\/span> must become faster<\/span> and more predictable<\/span><\/span>.<\/span> This is the basis for the revisited<\/span> Renewable Energy Directive (REDIII<\/span>)<\/span><\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

B<\/span>oth <\/span><\/span>industry<\/span><\/span><\/a> leaders and <\/span><\/span>civil society organisations<\/span><\/span><\/a> are <\/span>warn<\/span>ing<\/span>: <\/span>we do not need more legislative changes<\/span>.
