Christian is the EEB\u2019s Communications Lead, coordinating the organisation\u2019s horizontal communications, platforms, and team. He works closely with the Secretary General and leadership to shape strategy, drive fundraising efforts, and ensure impactful advocacy and engagement. His expertise spans strategic communications, narrative and message development, attitudinal data, and EU-level political campaigning, with a strong focus on protecting the environment, civic space, and combating disinformation.<\/p>\n
Before joining the EEB, Christian was Head of Press and Communications at the European Movement International, where he is currently a board member, and has held several communications roles in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Norway. He holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree (LLB) in International and European Law and a Master\u2019s degree (LLM) in Public International Law, with specialisations in international environmental law and international investment law, from the University of Groningen. During his studies, he was the editor-in-chief of the faculty magazine.<\/p>\n
Holding both Norwegian and American citizenship, he is a native speaker of Norwegian and English, and is improving his French and Spanish.<\/p>\n
