Cosimo joined the EEB’s Climate & Energy team in 2022. He has led our policy work on renewable energy, including advocacy work on the Renewable Energy Directive, as well as contributions to the Paris Agreement-Compatible (PAC) scenario, the EEB’s position on renewable hydrogen, and a report on the phase-out of nuclear energy in the EU.

In late 2025, Cosimo chose to move to the EEB’s Finance team to focus on improving the financial stability and management of the organisation as a whole.

Before joining the EEB, Cosimo worked for the government of the Lombardy Region, focusing on electromobility and energy efficiency. He also worked at the University of Milan, where he managed research projects in climate and agriculture. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Pavia in Italy.

Cosimo speaks English, Italian, and bits of French and Spanish. Outside of work, he is very keen on live music (being it jazzy or more sassy), distance running, and hiking.
