As an example of this, scientists warn of the <a href=\"#_Hlk105061508\">combined effects <\/a>\u00a0on chemical pollution and climate change on biodiversity. Chemicals can affect biodiversity\u2019s future resilience with threats that are posed by climate change, like higher temperatures or increased drought conditions. Climate change can affect the fate and toxicity of chemicals in the environment, for example by influencing the pH and with it the uptake and bioavailability of chemicals.
