They call for adequate resources, transparent reporting of all barrier removals, and continued support for the ECOSTAT free-flowing rivers group.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"653\" data-end=\"1106\">They also press for <strong data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"733\">rapid implementation of the EU Water Resilience Strategy<\/strong>, emphasising that the Water Framework Directive should remain the foundation of Europe\u2019s water policy. Member States are encouraged to address implementation bottlenecks, set sustainable abstraction levels, regularly review permits, and ensure that new EU initiatives &#8211; such as the Water Academy, Blue &amp; Green Corridors, and EIB funding &#8211; help scale up nature-based solutions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1427\">Finally, the coalition highlights the importance of the upcoming <strong data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1215\">2028\u20132033 River Basin Management Plans<\/strong>, urging a shift from planning to measurable outcomes.
