The statement calls on the European Commission not to reopen the revised Industrial Emissions Directive (IED 2.0) or Industrial Emissions Portal Regulation through omnibus or simplification initiatives.
The letter supports the ambition of the revised IED to protect human health and the environment from pollution and urges policymakers to preserve key provisions, including Transformation Plans and Environmental Management Systems. It also stresses the importance of maintaining the integrity of the co-decision process and robust data collection for Best Available Techniques and associated emission levels.
